What is Turkish Citizenship by Residence?

The way of obtaining citizenship, which can be applied by those who have legally resided in Turkey for 5 years uninterruptedly, is called Turkish citizenship by residence.

For example, Turkish citizenship by marriage and Turkish citizenship by investment. Turkish citizenship by residence is of a more general nature. To have a sufficient income or profession to provide for themselves and their dependents,

To have good morals, not to have bad habits that would be contrary to social values

To have the minimum Turkish speaking proficiency at a level to sustain social life,

Not to be in a position to disrupt national security and public order,

Not having a disease that poses a threat to general health.

The conditions listed above are the conditions sought for the application of Turkish citizenship through residence. If there is a deficiency in any of the conditions and this situation is detected, the application will result in rejection. It should be emphasized that the person; Sometimes, although it meets the conditions, it may face the rejection of its application as a result of the wrong evaluation of the administration.
