Short Term Residence Permit Conditions
The regulation regarding the conditions required for granting a short-term residence permit is included in article 32 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection. According to this regulation, the conditions sought for a short-term residence permit can be listed as follows:
To make a request by citing one or more of the reasons listed above while making an application,
Submitting the documents and information related to the justification given in the application,
Not being one of the foreigners who are not allowed to enter Turkey,
To be able to provide accommodation conditions in accordance with general health and safety standards,
Upon request, to submit a document showing the criminal record issued by the competent authorities of the country of residence,
Submitting information about the address to stay in Turkey.
The requirements for a short-term residence permit are as listed above. If there is a deficiency in one of these conditions, it may be possible for foreigners to lose their rights due to the rejection of the application or the cancellation of the existing residence permit. In some cases, despite the circumstances, loss of rights may occur as a result of the administration's erroneous assessment. All these are processes that need attention. For this reason, close follow-up is required from the very beginning of the application.
What are the Documents Required for a Short-Term Residence Permit Application?
There are many documents that need to be prepared when applying for a short-term residence permit. These documents can be shown as:
Application form regarding the application,
Passport copy of foreign national,
Photograph,
Receipts or documents showing that the necessary fees have been paid,
Statement regarding the availability of sufficient and regular financial means during the stay in Turkey
Health insurance,
If the residence permit is granted, the document showing the place of stay (deed if the house belongs to itself, if not, the lease agreement),
Attorney power of attorney for applications made through a proxy.
Regardless of the purpose for which a short-term residence permit application is made, the required general documents are as shown above. However, depending on the reason for the application, different documents may need to be submitted. These will be determined according to the circumstances of the concrete case.
