First - Turkish citizenship by investment
It is one of the most common ways to obtain Turkish citizenship, and the investment option comes in the following form:
1. Buying a property or several properties in Turkey
Its total value is at least $400,000; with a Notice made by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, indicating that the property ownership has been transferred to the new owner, with a commitment to not selling it for at least 3 years.
2. A bank deposit in a Turkish bank
Depositing a share of contribution with a value of at least $500,000 or equivalent in other currencies, in an account of one of the financial funds specified by the Institute of Social Security and Pensions and Inspection. The institution confirms that the amount has been deposited in the individual retirement system, with a condition of keeping the amount in the system for at least 3 years.
3. Employing 50 Turkish employees
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security confirms that the applicant has employed at least 50 people.
Second - Obtaining Turkish citizenship by proving Ottoman or Turkish origins
By submitting proof of assets, through the submission of an Ottoman or Turkish or any other related and legally certified document by the relevant authorities.
Third - Obtaining Turkish citizenship through permanent residence in Turkey
A foreigner who has continuously lived in the Turkish Republic for 5 years is eligible for a permanent residence permit, which allows them to obtain Turkish citizenship with the approval of the Ministry of Interior. In order to meet the "5 years continuous residence in Turkey" condition, the person should have a long-term residence permit, a student residence permit, or a family residence permit.Alanya-Antalya Lawyer
Conditions for obtaining permanent residence:
• Having a continuous and uninterrupted permanent residence in Turkey for 5 years.
• Not receiving social assistance in the last three years.
• Having a regular income sufficient to support oneself and one's family.
• Having valid health insurance.
• Not being a threat to the system and public security.
Fourth - Turkish citizenship through marriage
Getting married to a Turkish citizen does not automatically grant the right to obtain Turkish citizenship, but foreigners who have been married to a Turkish citizen for 3 years and whose marriage is still ongoing are eligible to apply for Turkish citizenship.Alanya-Antalya Lawyer
However, if the marriage ends due to the death of the Turkish spouse after the application for Turkish citizenship has been submitted, the requirement of being within the family is not applicable.
The Turkish citizen benefits from the following:
• The ability to live and reside permanently in Turkey.
• Possibility of dual citizenship.
• The ability to work and invest without restrictions in Turkey.
• Travel to many countries without a visa.
• Possibility of naturalizing the wife and children under 18 with the applicant.
• Benefit from the international incentives provided to Turkish citizens, through bilateral and multilateral agreements such as the European Economic Community and the Ankara Agreement.
